Announcing the AlliedOffsets Alerts Service

AlliedOffsets is happy to announce that we’re launching an alert service for the voluntary carbon market!

We’ve already written about fire alerts, and this latest update opens up other alerts to the market.

Users can sign up for alerts around the following topics (among others):

  • Large project issuances and retirements: Find out when a project of interest is issuing or retiring new credits
  • Corporate buyer activity: Keep track of what corporates are doing in the market
  • News articles for custom topics: Don’t miss out on the latest news from the industry
  • Project status updates: Find out when projects you care about become active or stop operating
  • And much more

The alert service is powered by our API, and it allows actors in the market to access information about carbon offsetting projects and retirements in near-real time. We are in the process of adding more location-based alerts which include information on droughts, biodiversity loss, political upheaval, and more — based on satellite imagery.

Users can subscribe on the website alerts.alliedoffsets.com.

When looking for projects, users can browse by location and project type and pick as many projects as they want and amend the list any time. The service is designed to be highly flexible, so users can tailor the alerts to their specific needs. For example, users can choose to receive notifications about new projects and retirements in their area, or opt to receive alerts about specific types of projects, such as reforestation or renewable energy.

Below, see the overview of all alerts currently available:

Daily News:

  • Project specific
  • Industry-wide news
  • Registries (ACR, CAR, CDM, GS, Verra, AU Market)

Aggregated Data:

Overall, our API-powered alert service for carbon offsetting projects and retirements is an easy and effective way to stay informed about VCM projects. By providing near-real time information, flexible options for notification, location-based alerts, and easy-to-use tools, the service empowers individuals and organizations to take action and support these important projects.
