Last Friday, the AlliedOffsets team swapped laptops for spades and rakes as we spent the day volunteering with The Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, a small charity dedicated to protecting and preserving one of London’s most unique green spaces.

About Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park

Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park is London’s most central woodland, a 31-acre oasis of trees, meadows, and heritage in the heart of the city. Managed by the Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, the site plays a vital role in supporting biodiversity and offering a peaceful refuge for the local community.

Throughout the day, our team got stuck into raking grass, removing invasive species, litter-picking, and planting a variety of bulbs and flowers. It was a hands-on day and a refreshing change of pace that reminded us how rewarding it can be to give back to nature.

Volunteering outdoors together not only allowed us to contribute to an important local cause but also strengthened our sense of collaboration and teamwork. Getting out of the office and working side by side in such a beautiful setting gave everyone a renewed appreciation for London’s green heritage.

A Thank You to Our Hosts

A huge thank you to the Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park team for hosting us and guiding us through the day. We left tired but proud, knowing our efforts helped keep this vital urban woodland thriving for both wildlife and the community.
